The following 9 photos of the river Aar have been taken at Berne in Switzerland.
The river Aar is the longest river situated entirely in Switzerland and it is a tributary of the river Rhine. The river Aar takes its source in the Grimsel region, flows through the Aar Gorge between Meiringen and Innertkirchen, then through the lake of Brienz, the city of Interlaken, the lake of Thun, the capital city Berne and through many Swiss cities, like Nidau, Solothurn, Olten, Aarau and finally flows into the river Rhine at Coblenz.
At Berne, the river Aar flows through a verdand ravine with numerous trees, crossed by several big bridges. Thus when strolling along the river banks, people will often not have the impression to be in a large city.
