The following 9 photos of horse chestnut blossom and horse chestnut trees have been taken in Alsace, in the east of France, at the end of April 2007. The chestnut trees are located at the Allée des marronniers (Chestnut Alley) in Huningue near the river Rhine, at the southern end of Alsace, just a few 100 Meters from Switzerland and Germany.

The white chestnut or buckeye, Aesculus hippocastanum, is a tree of the family Hippocastanaceae.
