Free wallpaper for widescreen

On 11 March 2007, we did add some wallpaper sizes for those who would like to find free widescreen wallpaper and free PSP wallpaper on our web site.

Presently we have four 16/10 widescreen resolutions and two 16/9 widescreen resolution available at every gallery page.

The widescreen resolutions are the result of cropping the normal 4/3 wallpapers. With some wallpapers there will be no problem, i.e. nothing essential will be missing, while with other wallpapers there will be an important part of the picture that will be missing. You will decide for which image, cutting away a band from the top and from the bottom of the image is acceptable.

A small number of the wide wallpapers are stretched 4/3 wallpapers instead of cropped ones, e.g. the calendars.

The widescreen formats are often used on the screens of laptops and notebooks, but wide screens for desktops are also available.
