The following 9 mountain photos have been taken in the region of the Grimsel at and near the Pass of the Grimsel.

The Pass of the Grimsel lies at 2165 m. above sea level. The region of the Grimsel is situated south of Meiringen in the Swiss Alps. It belongs to the Municipality of Guttannen, one of the largest of Switzerland for its area but rather small in number of inhabitants. The Aare, one of the main rivers of Switzerland takes its source somewhere here in the Grimsel area. It feeds many reservoirs starting with the Oberaarsee, then the Grimselsee and later the Raeterichsbodensee.
