The following 8 Alpine lake photos have been taken at the Lago della Piazza in Switzerland in 2007.

The lake Lago della Piazza, near the Gotthard Hospice, is situated at the Gotthard Pass (Passo del San Gottardo), at 2108 m above sea level. The Gotthard pass is linking the Canton Uri in german Switzerland with the Canton Ticino, italian Switzerland. On the lake there is a stagecoach drawn by 5 horses to remember the days when this was a regular service. The ultimate stagecoach did cross the Gotthard pass in regular service on 13 September 1921.
