The following 12 photos of the Rhine falls have been taken at Shaffhouse, Switzerland, in 2006.

Schaffhouse (Schaffhausen) is situated at the north-east of Switzerland near the border with Germany.

The Rhine falls are the biggest water falls of western Europe. The width of the waterfall is 150 Meters. The height of the waterfall is 23 Meters. Depending on the season 100 up to 1200 m³/s of water is flowing over the rocks. On the day when the photos have been taken, the flow was 625 m³/s. The Rhine falls are about 15,000 years old.
